Who is the Captain Kirk running this Enterprise?

My name is Greg Smith and I am a Radio Control junkie. No, thanks, I don’t need to be cured just give me more! I have been involved in RC in one way or another since our country’s Bicentennial in 1976 with slot cars, model rocketry, control line flying and free flight before that. Blame my Dad, he instigated a lot of those early activities!

The RC bug really bit me hard in about 1979 or 1980 when a friend and I got 2-meter RC sailplanes in California and proceeded to teach ourselves how to fly rc slope soaring sailplanes. RC cars weren’t far behind!

Fast forward to the present day. RC Crawling has me hooked like very few RC niches have. The innovation and the energy in this facet of our sport has me re-energized and I’m ready to give you all the news that I can.
